What are Spirit Airlines’s Requirements for Service Animals?

If you are traveling on Spirit Airlines, you must submit the form at Spirit Airlines at this link 48 hours prior to travel. Remember this process can only be done after booking.

You will also need the dog’s certificate in this form. It will be under your control and the name of the owner and doctor is also included in the form.

Spirit Airlines Policies for Service Dogs on Flights

When you’re at the airport with your dog, there are a few rules you need to be aware of. You should also know that the staff can also verify your personal animals. And they may ask you two questions:

Does the dog need a service dog because of a disability?

What task or tasks has the dog been trained to perform?

If your dog has not been trained to be in public, it may refuse to board.
